At age 23, Ron Hooper was Vice President of Famous Ramos Hot Dog Place. It was there that he met Mike Guidry. Hooper resided over the 55-store chain based in Dallas, Texas until 1985. He then owned and operated a small chain of Philadelphia Cheese Steak operations called The Great Steak and Fry Company. He is credited with being instrumental in that chain's growth. In 1994, Ron Hooper and Mike Guidry teamed up to create Pizza Street.

Q. Do I need previous restaurant experience to secure a Pizza Street Franchise?

A. No, but it is helpful. We have found that common sense and hard work account for a lot. We have a proven operating system and a comprehensive training program that will prepare you for the challenges ahead.

Q. How long does training take and what does it cost?

A. We train and certify the franchisee and your Assistant General Manager at our training facility in Gladstone, Missouri. The fee is $2,500 for each manager attending the initial 6 week training program.

Q. How many Pizza Street restaurants can I operate?

A. We encourage experienced operators to own multiple units. However, operational soundness and financial resources will ultimately determine your growth potential.

Q. What is the franchise fee and royalty fee?

A. The franchise fee is $25,000. The royalty fee is 4% of net sales per month.

Q. Are there any other fees?

A. In addition to yur monthly royalty fee. Pizza Street assesses an additional 3% of net sales for advertising and marketing in local and regional programs. In addition, a one time $2,500 grand opening advertising fee is payable when the franchise agreement is executed.

Q. Who determines the location of a Pizza Street Restaurant?

A. We both do. Site selection is fundamental to the success of the restaurant. Therefore, your input will be welcome and expected. Your success is our success.

Q. What must be purchased through a designated supplier?

A. You may purchase food, paper and equipment from any supplier you choose so long as these products meet Pizza Street guidelines. Pizza Street has many national volume buying agreements in place that benefit the franchisee.
